Organic Sheep's Brie
Knuthenlund's Sheep's Brie is our pride and joy. Our starting point is naturally the estate's fine sheep's milk and traditional craftsmanship. The cheese is thus handmade, hand-ladled and carefully watched during the ripening process. The cheese ripens from the outside in and is ready to eat 3-4 weeks after packaging. It has a creamy consistency with a mild and distinctive flavour.
Knuthenlund's Sheep' Brie won a silver medal at the Nordic cheese festival ‘Nordens Oste' in 2009.
Moreover, my great-grandfather, J. P. H. Hansen, a dairyman, won an award with the white cheese in 1903, and which enabled him to by Knuthenlund 10 years later.
