Organic goat meat
Goat's meat is often an overlooked delicacy. The meat has a delicate, mild flavour reminiscent of game or veal.
Goat's meat also has some unique nutritional properties. It is very rich in iron and also has only 5 mg cholesterol per 100 g of meat. By comparison, beef and pork normally contain 44 mg and 66 mg cholesterol per 100 g of meat, respectively.
The animals spend 150 days a year grazing on the lush meadows surrounding Knuthenlund. The meadows have been sown with various herbs, which help to give the milk and meat their special flavour.
Knuthenlund's goat meat is supplied in various cuts and is sold from Knuthenlund's dairy shop as well as at the organic butcher ‘Den Økologiske Slagter' on Kultorvet in Copenhagen K, at the supermarket Havnegade Super in Nakskov as well as at Dalgaard Supermarked in Hørsholm.
